Shoreline Cleanup at Jacques Cartier Park – September 20th, 2020
In a typical summer, organizing and participating in shoreline cleanups would be a big part of what Ottawa Riverkeeper does. This summer has been anything but typical, but as conditions have begun to improve, we are eager to get out there and give back to the river we love so much!
On Sunday, September 20th, from 9-11am, Ottawa Riverkeeper staff will be at Jacques Cartier Park in Gatineau, QC picking up garbage that could otherwise end up in the river. And we’d love to see you there!
We plan to meet at the parking lot adjacent to “La maison du Vélo” 350 Rue Laurier, Gatineau, QC J8X 3W1 where we will do our introduction and then spread out to a couple of other parking lots within the area.
Please note: While restrictions have lifted enough to allow for organized shoreline cleanups like this to take place, covid-19 is still a concern. As such, necessary precautions will be in place, including mandatory pre-registration, so that we can keep both the river and ourselves safe and healthy!
WHERE: “La maison du Vélo” 350 Rue Laurier, Gatineau, QC J8X 3W1
