Riverkeeper Gala fundraiser a magnificent night!
We are delighted with the success of our 2014 Riverkeeper Gala! More than 200 Ottawa Riverkeeper friends and supporters were in attendance May 28th, at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau and on the Ottawa River cruise that followed. Guests included Governor of the Bank of Canada Stephen Poloz, host of CBC’s Power and Politics Evan Solomon and Juno-Award nominated Newfoundland indie rockers Hey Rosetta!

Thanks to the generous contributions and support from our friends and sponsors,we raised more than $125,000. These funds will go directly towards protecting the Ottawa River and its tributaries, helping us to inspire action, encourage responsible decision-making, hold polluters accountable and find solutions to protect our local waterways.

Many people contributed to make this evening a resounding success. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our sponsors and supporters from Ernst Young, RBC, Canada Goose, Capital City Cruises and the Museum of History. A special thank you to guest chefs Marc Doiron of Ottawa’s Town Restaurant and Steve Mitton of Murray Street Kitchen for the delicious fare, and to the very talented and entertaining Hey Rosetta!

A sunset cruise with stellar guests, perfect weather and great music…an evening to remember!

Have a look at the many photos of the evening and plan to come next year!
