Shoreline Naturalization Planting – La Passe – November 7th, 2018

Come to a shoreline planting in La Passe on November 7th to help plant and learn about shoreline naturalization!

You are invited to this planting event to learn more about natural shorelines, which plants are best suited for shoreline environments and why. Native plants can help protect properties from erosion while also maintaining a healthy river. Come get some hands on experience and learn how to plant the native plants selected for this site and how they will help address concerns around erosion. There will be information available about the role shorelines have in protecting the river and steps you can take on your own property. There are over 175 plants to get in the ground – including flowers, shrubs, and trees – so bring your shovels and help out!

Where:  Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Parish, 88 Lacroix Bay Rd. La Passe, on the Ottawa River
When: November 7th, 2018 – 10am
