Welcome to the 4th annual Riverkeeper 4K open water swim, a unique inter-provincial swimming event in the Ottawa River to highlight the need for collaboration and action on both sides!
Starting on the Ontario side this year, you will cross the provincial border on your way to the finish line. The swim will run 4 kilometres across the Ottawa River, finishing in Aylmer, Quebec.
Fundraise in support of your local waterways (and win great prizes!), challenge the strength of the Ottawa River, and win bragging rights for swimming from one province to another!
In order to welcome more athletes, families, and participants of all abilities, we are also bringing back the two shorter courses: a 1.5 km course, and a 750m course for shorter distance swimmers. These shorter distances both start and finish in Aylmer, Quebec at Parc des Cèdres so that all participants can celebrate their finish together.
Tom Anzai of Anzai Inc. is the founder of the 4K swim. He had a vision to swim from one shore of the historic Ottawa River to the other, swam it, then invited all fellow swimmers to participate in this epic charity event. You can contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. He hopes to see you riverside!
