Riverkeeper 4K Swim Logo EN bigger

Support clean water and a healthy river because water quality knows no borders. We are holding the 2nd Annual Riverkeeper 4K Inter-Provincial Swim, (formerly known as “Escape to/from Aylmer-traz”) to highlight the need for collaboration and action on both sides of the Ottawa River.

Organized in co-operation with Swim Ottawa, this fully-supported swim (limited to 100 participants this second year) is open to competitive and masters swimmers and triathletes, age 16 or older. The swim has a 2 hour time limit. After this time the lifeguards will pull you out of the water. Swim caps will be provided and must be worn for identification purposes during the hand-timed swim. Includes baggage check and continental breakfast post event.

A school-bus shuttle back to Aylmer will be available.

New this year: Swim clubs and organizations can compete as a team in our Riverkeeper 4K Team Challenge. Bragging rights and a fabulous Ottawa City Rafting trip will go to the team with the most participants.

Register and Collect Pledges OnlineYou can also download the Pledge Form, collect pledges by hand and turn them in on August 13th while picking up your race kit.

**Note: If you experience issues with the online pledging system, please call 613.321.1120 and we will be happy to register you by phone.**

photoWelcome to our second inter-provincial swim across the Ottawa River! The Riverkeeper 4K is a dream come true for me. I hope that we continue this event for many years so we can all tell our grandchildren that we swam our historic river from one province to another and did our part to help protect local waterways. Enjoy the challenge and feel the strength of moving through our great river.
