On June 17th, volunteers rallied together to remove a whopping 405 lbs of trash from Brewery Creek, an important urban stream in the heart of Gatineau.

Ottawa Riverkeeper and the regions of the Pacte d’Amitié celebrated three years of partnership and community-led water protection with a massive joint cleanup in Hawkesbury on May 13, 2023!

On Earth Day 2023, Ottawa Riverkeeper brought volunteers together for a shoreline cleanup, and to celebrate the rebuilding its volunteer capacity thanks to a grant from OTF.

Over the course of two cleanups in Thurso and Hawkesbury, volunteers collected over 1400lbs of trash from the shorelines of the Ottawa River! More cleanups are planned over the summer as part of this ongoing partnership with the Pacte d’Amitié.
